Crowley Comprehensive Plan 2045

A comprehensive plan is a document used to guide land use decisions within the city over a long-term period, typically 20 to 25 years. A comprehensive plan is a policy document and not part of the code of ordinances – it does not establish zoning districts or zoning regulations – but cities with comprehensive plans are required to take the plan policies into consideration when making land use decisions. The full text of the currently-adopted plan is available for download below.

The City of Crowley is in the process of making minor updates to the 2045 comprehensive plan. No major updates are planned. The Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the draft updates on July 14, 2025, during its regularly-scheduled meeting and recommended approval. The notice for that hearing is posted below for your reference. The City Council is scheduled to consider the updates during its regular meeting on Aug. 7 at 7 p.m.

A draft report, which includes the draft Future Land Use Map and draft Master Thoroughfare Plan, is also posted below for your reference. These documents are under review by staff and are subject to change, but most of what you see in the document is what will be submitted to the Planning & Zoning Commission for consideration. If there are any revisions to the documents before the Planning & Zoning Commission hearing, those revisions will be posted prior to the public hearing on July 14.
