Recycling Collection Day - Wednesday

*Effective Oct. 11, 2023

Please have the Waste Connections recycling carts out at the street by 7 a.m. Recycling may be picked up anytime between 7-5 p.m. The Blue carts provided by Waste Connections are for recycling only. Waste Connection crews have been instructed to not collect Blue carts on days other than recycling day or when there is regular trash in them on recycling day.

Blue Carts

  • The Blue recycling carts should be placed in the street by 7 a.m. with the wheels against the curb or at the edge of the paved street with the front facing the street. The automated trucks cannot service containers set out backward
  • Only the Blue Waste Connections carts will be collected. Please do not use any other containers provided by previous service companies
  • If your trash and recycling are collected on the same day, keep your recycling about 5 feet away from your trash
  • Do not set recycling carts in alleyways
  • Please see picture below for spacing requirements that need to be from any fence, gas meter, telephone pole, utility box, tree, shrub, additional collection container, or other potential obstruction
  • Vehicles should not be parked on the street near the container. Allow plenty of space for the recycling truck to maneuver in front of the cart
  • Recycling items may be placed loosely in the recycling cart
  • Please make sure not to overfill the cart, this can cause items to be dropped or blown away when it is dumped, creating unsightly litter in your neighborhood and potentially clogging storm drains

Unwanted Blue Cart

If you do not want a Blue cart, please contact Waste Connections at 817-222-2221 and they will come and pick it up.

Driveway Collections

Driveway collection is provided to physically challenged citizens who are sole residents at the address where service is requested, unless all other residents at the service address have disabilities which prevent them from placing waste & recycling items at the curb for collection.
