Veterans Plaza

Crowley Veterans Plaza Memorials lit up at night

The Crowley Veterans Memorial Committee was founded in May 2010. The board worked diligently discussing and planning the Crowley Veterans Plaza to honor those who have served and those currently serving our country. It became an official City of Crowley park project in December 2012. With the support of the Crowley City Council, private businesses, many individuals and especially the residents of Crowley, the project was completed.

Parts of the Plaza

In the plaza, there are five walls, each representing a branch of the military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard. On the back of the walls, the names of Crowley area veterans are displayed in granite. In the center of the plaza is a fountain with a pedestal displaying a bronze replica of the Soldier’s Cross and the names of soldiers from Crowley who were killed in action.

Location

The Veterans Plaza is open to the public and located at 405 South Oak Street between the Crowley Library and Crowley Fire Station No. 2.
