How can I get public information?

In compliance with the Texas Public Information Act, simply complete a written request, forms are available online or at City Hall and submit it to the City Secretary's Office. The Texas Public Information Act provides the city of Crowley with up to 10 working days to respond to your request. Accident reports must be requested to the Records Clerk at the Crowley Police Department. Fire reports can be obtained through the City Secretary.

How do I get an item placed on the City Council Agenda?

The City Manager is responsible for final approval of items posted to the City Council Agenda. Items may be placed on the Agenda by the Mayor or at least three members of the City Council who shall confirm their request with the City Secretary's Office. The City Secretary may place certain items on the Agenda, including, but not limited to, presentations, items of a ceremonial nature, and Board & Commission appointments.

How do I obtain public information or records?

To activate the Open Records Act, you must submit a written request to the Office of the City Secretary. For your convenience, you may complete our Public Information Request form provided on the website.

How do I sign up to speak at the City Council meeting?

A person wishing to address the City Council on matters not scheduled on the City Council Agenda may do so under the Citizen and Visitor Participation section of the agenda.

When does the City Council meet?

The City Council normally meets in regular sessions at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month.
