Entrance

The Plaza Project has progressed to the point where the City will now close off the Hampton Road side of the project, which will also close off west-side access to the front entrance to City Hall.

This will begin Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The front City Hall entrance and the walkway under the front overhang will remain open, but it will only be accessible from only the east side of the building.

During this temporary period, visitors and guests to City Hall will be guided around the building by signage and construction fencing.

Some of the parking spaces on the north side of the building along East Mission Street will be open. The parking lot on East Mission Street (behind City Hall) contains two ADA parking spaces, and one space will be designated on the head-in parking area on the street.

The utility drop-box location in the parking lot of Hampton and East Mission will not be impacted during this final phase of construction.

This phase and reroute will be in place until the new sidewalks and parking areas along Hampton have been completed.

Please see the attached map and signage examples.
