The Crowley Police Law Enforcement Explorers Program is a worksite-based program, which is geared toward coaching, mentoring and teaching young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are between 14 and 21 years of age.


Our program helps youth gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on activities for those who are interested in a career in the field of law enforcement.

Learning Points

As a Crowley Police Explorer you will be given an opportunity to do the following:

  • Attend SWAT camps
  • Learn about crime scene processing
  • Fingerprinting
  • Learn about police communications
  • Learn operational procedures of the Crowley Police Department
  • Participate in community activities and various competitions with other agencies’ explorers posts
  • Participate in rides-along with police officers
  • Participate in real-life training scenarios (such as building searches, arrest techniques, defensive tactics)
  • Take on leadership roles
Being a Crowley Police Explorer will allow you to develop life skills, build character, develop problem solving techniques, and moral and ethical decision making.
