Celebration of Freedom

The Celebration of Freedom has been rescheduled for July 13. Please plan to join us this Saturday.

Note: This is a modified schedule of events. The park will be closed to the public from 8-5 p.m on July 13.

Please follow the City's Facebook page for up-to-date information about the event. We will post periodic updates as we get commitments from vendors who will be participating.

Jesse Jennings will provide the entertainment. He will take the Main Stage at the park at 8 p.m. and he'll perform until the fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

Also, if the event does not go on as planned  on Saturday, it will not be rescheduled.

Please Note that Bicentennial Park will be temporarily  CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to allow City Staff to set up and prepare for the Celebration of Freedom Event by City Council Action Resolution R03-2019-313.

    Handicap Parking

Handicap parking is available next to the Community Center and you must show your placard or have handicap tags on your vehicle to park, as this is limited parking space. Additionally, you can only enter from Glendale Street.

    Shuttle Parking

Shuttle Parking is at HF Stevens Middle School located at 940 North Crowley Road, with free service to and from the park. The shuttle begins at 5 p.m., and buses run every 15 minutes, with the last shuttle leaving the park at 11 p.m.

    Parade

The annual Celebration of Freedom Parade will not be held this year. For several years, this parade has been a staple of the Crowley community -- a celebration of patriotism, family and heritage. This decision was not arrived at lightly. It is our desire to provide a safe and quality event for all involved. The anticipated construction on Main Street and the construction in Bicentennial Park is expected to affect the overall layout of this event regarding staffing, parking and the parade route. After considering various options, the City Council and staff made the determination that it would not be feasible to host a parade this year.
